We had a pretty low-key weekend. On Friday night, we tried to put Reese in the toddler bed - a bit of a disaster! We talked about it all day and she was very excited to try it out. We kept on looking at her Mickey Mouse sheets and pretending to sleep on it with her Strawberry Short Cake pillow case that Great Grandma Clemens made. It seemed like it was going to be a breeze to move her to the "Big Girl Bed." We put her to bed and within 2 minutes she had walked out to the living room. This proceeded to happen for the next 45 minutes along with cries of tear of the bed. So back in the crib she went. We know she is still young, but our goal is/was to transition her into the bed, so Isaac could have the crib. I think we are going to borrow a crib from Grandma and Grandpa Axness so we will have 2 cribs. Oh well - we will try again later!
On Saturday, we all put our swimming suits on, since there was snow on the ground!!!! There was no playing outside, so we went to Lifetime and let Reese do a little swimming. They had a baby slide, which Reese loved! She must have gone down it 20 times. She has no fear when it comes to water. She wanted to be in the deep end without our assistance. She did not understand that she could not touch the bottom. She also loved jumping off the side into the water. Isaac had a little swimmer on, but only got his feet wet. We all had a lot of fun.
I go back to work on Wednesday :-( I can''t believe that our little Isaac is 2 months old. He had his 2 month check up - 12 lbs 4 oz and 24 inches long. That puts him in the 90 percentile for both height and weight. He is still fighting a cold, which has affected his sleep at night. Hopefully he will shake it soon!
