Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for everything we have and our families. We spent the day at our house with my family and Brian''s family. We had a tasty meal - my mom did most of it, but I am learning! Reese spent a lot of the day playing with her aunts and uncles and cousin Jacob. She loved her official first Thanksgiving meal. She tasted it all. We know she is a true Norwegian because she loved the lefsa! She enjoyed an afternoon snooze and worked off her meal by walking all over the place.
Reese and the boys got ready for bed but the girls were not yet done with the day. We headed to Albertville Outlets to do some shopping - it opened at midnight. We had a blast! It was so much fun. This may have to become a family tradition.
We are walking!!!! Reese started taking steps last weekend and has gradually taken more and more. She is still wobbles, but her balance is getting better each time.
Reese has taken intrest in her body parts. She loves to point out her eyes, ears, nose, toes, and belly button. She knows that her shoes go on her feet and her hat goes on her head. She loves to try put them on, but has not had much success with that. She also has noticed that I wear a necklace and likes to play with it. Reese has a belt that she calls her necklace. She puts it around her neck and thinks she looks so pretty.
This past week, Reese has developed yet another cough and now has turned into a cold. It led to a couple of sleepless nights for all of us. Hopefully she will get rid of it by Thanksgiving - we will have a house full - both my family and Brian''s family will be at our place. We are excited to host and maybe more excited for the Friday of shopping afterwards!
This week we had an ultrasound for baby #2. Everything went looked great. We got a couple of pictures. It was very very active during the whole ultrasound. We did not find out the sex of the baby, so everyone will have to wait until it arrives. They told us that the baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule, which moves the due date up to March 4th.
Reese is doing great. She is trying to say more and more words everyday. Her newest word is ''no''. We must say it a lot. When I have the camera in my hand - Reese will say ''no no,'' I think she thinks that the camera is called a no no because I always say it when she reaches for it. No walking yet, but she stands by herself all the time. She can squat to get things and she has learned how to bear crawl.
Grandma Lindsay arrived last night. She has a couple days off of school, so she thought she would come and spend some quality time with Reese.
We had a fun time trick or treating around the neighborhood and area. Reese really did not understand what was going on, but she liked it when people gave her candy. She would try to bite through the wrappers to see what was in there, luckily she could not get into it! We stopped by Reese''s daycare to say hi and found out that Cathy''s mother had passes away. Cathy and her family obviously need time to mourn, so we are without daycare for the next few days. Thank goodness for our friends Emily, Sam, and Vincent. Emily watched Reese today and is going to take her on Monday too. I am taking a day off tomorrow, so we should be covered.
Yesterday, I had a doctor''s appointment for baby #2. It went well, baby is getting bigger - which means I am getting bigger =) I had a different doctor and she had a different opinion about c-sections vs. v-backs. I was planning on having another c-section, but after talking to her, I might try a natural birth. I have to do some research.
